You asked and we listened.  Introducing our custom made Walnut Butcher Block from Jones Woodworking, a family owned and operated shop in rural Pennsylvania.  This new board is the perfect addition to the serious chef's kitchen, larger than most boards this fills the need for a truly sturdy and exceptional block.  Handmade and constructed with domestic American black walnut in a handsome checkerboard pattern, this block is durable and heavy duty, ready for any chopping need.  Both beautiful and highly functional, the end grain design is naturally resistant to knife scarring and easy on your knife edges. Walnut is a popular and highly durable wood that is resistant to warping.  Please note that each board will vary in color depending on the wood available and we are not able to guarantee a particular color or look. These boards are made on demand, and will typically require 2-3 weeks lead time.

Clean with warm, soapy water and dry immediately afterward. This board should be maintained regularly with one of our recommended oils to protect and maintain the wood.

Please Note:  All Jones boards come with included wooden rails in the package.  See images above.  If you want to store your board flat on the countertop, please place the rails under the board to allow for air flow. Any board that is stored directly on the countertop may end up warping or cracking due to temperature fluctuations.  When stored on its side, or on the rails provided, the airflow around the board improves, minimizing the chance that your board will be damaged over time.
